Cold & Flu tablets still doing their thing, although the runny nose is getting very annoying. I’ve resorted to shoving tissues up my nose to soak up the extraordinary volume of liquid mucous. Which is fine except my ears get blocked, and I have to quickly yank them out if I feel a sneeze coming on or I’m pretty sure my head would explode.

Had telehealth with the GP, and we were getting excited! “Let’s see if you’re eligible for antiviral meds… I think you need to meet two of these criteria… Oh you’ve got diabetes, that’s one, great! Oh, and you’re overweight! That’s really good!! Let me just check… oh, have to be over 50 for the antivirals. Now having diabetes and being overweight is a bad thing again!” But she did prescribe a corticosteroid inhaler that has been shown to prevent worsening symptoms and speed up recovery time.

My dear mum picked it up from the chemist and delivered it, along with a care package, to my doorstep. She is The Best!

My voice has gotten croaky – which I didn’t notice until Josephine called this afternoon. Don’t know if that’s the Rona or just that I’ve not really spoken much all day! It’s probably the Rona. Also my brachioradialis (I think) muscles in both forearms have been aching all day. No idea why!

Symptom checker:
Runny/blocked nose
Lethargy
Occasional cough
Croaky voice
Aching forearms
Pulse Ox is 96-99%.
Sore throat seems to have cleared up.

I have watched 3 episodes of Boardwalk Empire, and two ancient episodes of 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Would I Lie To You and the latest episode of The Rookie.
